FREE Boating Class


All operators of motorboats with 25 horsepower or greater motors born after January 1, 1982 must complete a boating safety course and have a boating safety certificate, as well as all operators of personal watercraft.


Class will be taught and administered by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.


The Pittsburgh Boat Show is offering two FREE Boating Safety education classes. Each class is eight hours long.
The Boating Safety education classes will be on Saturday, January 13th and the second class will be on Sunday, January 14th. Class on Saturday will begin promptly at 12:00p.m. and run until 8:00 p.m. Class on Sunday will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and run until 6:00 p.m.


The class and exam will take place at the Monroeville Convention Center 101 Mall Blvd., Monroeville, PA, 15146.


Each student who completes the class will receive a ticket good for free admission to the Boat Show.


To take the class, send an email to Mandy Smith at and
show up approximately fifteen minutes prior to the start of class (11:45am or 9:45am)
at the Monroeville Convention Center. Go to the front entrance and
you will be directed to the classroom.
